Stroke Rehabilitation: The Physiotherapy Roadmap to Recovery
August 24, 2026 · 6 min read · by Ovais · 35
A structured, progressive physiotherapy program is central to regaining movement, balance and independence after a stroke.
Recovery after a stroke depends heavily on early, consistent physiotherapy. The brain has a remarkable ability to "rewire" itself (neuroplasticity), and repeated, task-specific practice is what drives that recovery.
What our neuro-rehab program includes
- Balance and gait (walking) re-training
- Strengthening of the weaker side of the body
- Fine motor and hand-function retraining
- Fall-prevention and home-safety guidance for families
Why early therapy matters
The first few months after a stroke are the most important window for regaining function. Our team works closely with the treating neurologist and the patient's family to build a realistic, motivating rehab plan — at the clinic and with a home exercise program in between visits.
